How many people can you think of that have credit cards? Bank of America is planning on giving out credit cards to illegal immigrants. They have no social security numbers and they shouldn't be in this country anyways but they are the ones who are getting credit. It took me two years to get good enough credit to get my own vehicle without having a co-signer. These illegal immigrants are getting credit quicker and a lot easier. They are able to buy homes without having a social security card because they are issued personal identification numbers also known as "Individual Taxpayer Identification Number". I never knew they gave these out to people let alone illegal immigrants.

Former Governor Jeb Bush of Florida in 2004 even tried to pass a bill that would allow illegal immigrants to get their driver's license. But many people protested against it and the bill failed. The media portrays this as a good thing because it will increase the U.S. economy but in reality people who are here being born or legal aliens are losing jobs as we speak to countries overseas and homeland jobs are being lost. It will be even harder to find a job when we graduate because of this job loss to American citizens.

I agree that there is a problem with illegal immigrants. On the other hand, I don't think there will be a problem upon graduating college because these immigrants usually obtain minimum wage jobs and jobs that americans don't want to do. So I hope my degree will mean something and I won't have a problem getting a job due to illegal immigration.
On the credit card issue, credit card companies don't care who they give credit to. All they care about is taking your money. Is this right? No.
Credit card companies and banks have the same criteria of giving credit, they are not going to give special priviledges to aliens. So I'm sure you had good enough credit to get a car loan, if an alien doesn't have credit, they will not give them the loan.
Don't get me wrong, I agree with you that this isn't right. The government is trying to get illegal aliens out of the country when, on the other hand, its almost like companies are encouraging illegal immigrants.
Sasha's right. Banks will lend money to anyone when it is profitable for them.
I'm not supporting illegal entry, but face it. The old gig is up - Manhattan can't be had with trinkets anymore!
